How I feel too, considering how many fans are drunk with the prospect of "omg cgi godzilla". Like a battered wife who goes back to her abusive husband, they are flocking to the concept of an American godzilla film like there is NOTHING that could possibly go wrong.
Personally, I thought the movie dragged a little at points, but considering I started watching not long after breakfast, I suppose it's possible that's the mid-morning drowsiness talking.
Apart from that, though, it was a good creature feature. The special effects were decent (not too phony, yet not so realistic that they reach the uncanny valley), & they really took the time to establish these trolls as creatures & explain how they work/behave. They even managed to come up with a scientific explanation (or as scientific as you can hope for in a movie) as to why the trolls can't handle sunlight. It really made the movie seem more real to me.
